According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), Pinnacle Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling 7,768 cases of their Wish-Bone’s House Italian dressing due to a misbranding issue. The dressing contains milk and egg, two allergens, that are not listed on the dressing’s label.
Someone with an allergy to eggs or milk could be at risk if they were to consumer the recalled dressing.
Those who are not allergic to milk or eggs can safely consume the dressing.
The recall affects Wish-Bone’s House Italian salad dressing with a best-by date of January 13, 2019, item number 004132100648 and case lot code 4913019S51.
Consumers who purchased the recalled dressing can return it where they purchased it for a full refund.
So far, the FDA says there are no reports of illness due to the consumption of the dressing.
