Walmart has recalled 246,0000 axes due to an injury risk. The manufacturer says the head can detach from the handle.
The axes are from the “Ozark Trail” line with the model number 60111140. They have a black non-slip rubber grip and claw feature. They weigh 1.25 pounds and are 14 inches long.
The axes were sold at Walmart stores from January 2017-July 2018 for around $8.00.
Consumers who purchased the recalled axe can return it to Walmart for a full refund.
So far, Walmart has received two reports of the axe head detaching, resulting in injuries.
