A multi-vehicle accident on the Parkway East has left several injured. The accident involved a tanker truck and three vehicles and occurred near Bates Street in Oakland on the Parkway East. One of the vehicles became trapped under the tanker truck and the driver had to be extracted from the vehicle. Pennsylvania State Police and Pittsburgh paramedics responded to the accident scene and shut down the Parkway East for over an hour to clean up and investigate the accident.
It has not been confirmed how the accident occurred, it is still under investigation.
