A school bus in Lancaster County was carrying 14 students when it was struck by a vehicle and tipped over. The accident occurred in East Lampeter Township on Wednesday morning. A sedan was trying to pass two tractor-trailers and their escort vehicle. The sedan hit the rear of the escort vehicle, sending it into oncoming traffic where it struck the school bus. The bus then crashed into one of the tractor-trailer’s loads causing the bus to tip on its side. The driver of the sedan that tried passing the tractor-trailers, fled the scene of the accident. All students who were on the bus, including one who was ejected, were sent to the hospital for treatment. The school bus driver and another driver involved were also taken to the hospital.
