The German auto manufacturer, Volkswagen, has issued a recall on 281,000 of their CC and Passat sedans and wagons due to a stalling risk. Amazon has recalled some of the solar eclipse viewing glasses sold on their internet shopping site. The recall was issued after Amazon could not confirm that some of these glasses were made by one of the recommended manufacturers. NASA along with the American Astronomical Society, urged the use of glasses made by “reputable vendors” that have an international safety standard number of ISO12312-2.

A man was struck and killed while riding his bicycle on route 119 in Fayette county. The accident occurred early Friday morning, around 3:37 a.m., near the Wal-Mart according to police.
