In a new report, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states that it has received 13 reports of fatalities over the past four years that appear to be connected to the consumption of the energy drink 5-Hour Energy. This report is only the latest in what seems to be a series of complaints about the adverse effects of energy drinks: last month, the FDA received reports of five deaths connected to the consumption of Monster Energy drinks.
