A man has died after he was crashed into by a driver who ran a red light. The accident occurred round 7:30 p.m. on Route 30 near Greensburg Thursday night. A man was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 30 from Lewis Road when a Volkswagen ran a red light and crashed into him. The impact tore off the back of the victim’s car which then struck a vehicle that was sitting at the red light. The two people in that vehicle were not seriously injured.
The man who was struck was taken to Excela Hospital where he later died due to the extent of his injuries. The conditions of the driver of the Volkswagen and its two occupants are unknown at this time.
