Nine teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday in Lower Burrell. The teens were traveling east on Dutchman Road toward Route 780, when the SUV they were in left the road, hit an embankment and flipped once according to police. Five teens were ejected from the vehicle. Police believe only the driver was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. The SUV is only equipped with seven seatbelts, however, there were nine occupants. All victims have been treated and released from the hospital at this time. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and are still uncertain if speed was a factor.
