The auto manufacturer Mazda has recalled 270,000 more cars due to the deadly Takata airbags.
The affected vehicle models range from 2003-2008. You can visit the NHTSA’s website to see if your vehicle had been recalled.
So far there have been over 37 million vehicles recalled due to the faulty Takata airbags. Long exposure to heat and humidity can cause chemicals to degrade inside of the airbags. The inflators carry the risk of exploding when deployed, releasing sharp, metal fragments.
The faulty Takata airbags have been responsible for 20 deaths and over 180 injuries world-wide.
