Honda Recalls 1.6 Million Minivans and SUVs in Four Different Recalls.
Honda has issued four different recalls that involve 1.6 million of their minivans and SUVs.
The recalls involve Honda Odyssey minivans and Honda Pilot and Passport SUVs.
The recalls are as follows:
Recall 1: Includes 608,000 2018-2020 Odyssey minivans, 2019-2020 Passport SUVs and 2019-2021 Pilot SUVs. Honda says faulty software is causing critical dashboard functions to not display. This includes the speedometer, engine oil light and gear position.
Remedy: Technicians will reprogram the system’s software.
Recall 2: Includes over 500,000 2019-2020 Odyssey minivans, 2019-2020 Passport SUVs and 2019-2021 Pilot SUVs. Faulty software can stop the rear back-up camera from working.
Remedy: Honda dealers will update the software once it is available.
Recall 3: Includes over 324,000 2018-2020 Odyssey minivans. Honda says water can get in outer door handle cables on the sliding doors. If the water freezes, the van doors will not latch properly.
Remedy: Technicians will replace the sliding door cables.
Recall 4: Includes over 212,000 2019-2020 Odyssey minivans. Water can get into the rear camera mounts and distort the image, or the camera may not work all together.
Remedy: Honda will replace the rearview camera.
All recalls will begin on September 23, 2020
