A rear-end collision on Route 22 in Salem Township, has left one man dead. The victim’s wife and three-year-old daughter were also injured in the crash.
Police said a pick-up truck struck the victim’s vehicle while they were stopped at a stop light. The vehicle was then thrown into the median.
The victim died due to his extensive injuries. Police said the victim’s wife was lucky to be alive after the crash. Their daughter suffered a broken bone. Both are expected to recover.
The at-fault driver declined medical treatment at the scene of the accident. It is uncertain as to why the truck failed to stop and struck the victim’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
