An 11-year-old boy was hit by a train in Fayette County. The young boy was riding his bike near the intersection of Stoffer Road and Railroad Street when he was hit by the train.
Witnesses believe the train clipped the back of the boy’s bike. He was responsive when emergency crews arrived at the scene.
The victim was then transported by helicopter to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
It is unsure if the driver of the train saw the boy prior to the accident.
State Police and CSX Railroad Police are investigating.
