• Earning more than the current substantial gainful activity limit for SSDI
• Not having enough work credits, or recent enough work credits, for SSDI
• Having an income or assets that exceed the limits for SSI
• Mistakes with paperwork, such as an incorrect Social Security Number or birthdate
