Four more companies have now recalled their inclined infant sleepers due to a risk for infant fatalities.
More than 165,000 infant sleepers have been recalled by Graco, Summer Infant, Evenflo and Delta Children.
A notice for consumers posted on the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website states, “Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufacturers’ inclined sleep products, after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side, or under other circumstances,”
There have been no reports of fatalities in the newly recalled products.
Since 2009, there have been 73 infant deaths that have occurred in other inclined sleepers due to rolling over while unrestrained or other circumstances.
Last April, the children’s manufacturer, Fisher-Price, recalled 4.7 million of their popular Rock n’ Play sleepers which was the largest of the inclined sleeper recall.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends putting infants to sleep on their backs on a firm, flat surface in a bare crib, bassinet or play yard.
Consumers should immediately stop using the sleepers and contact the manufacturer for a refund or voucher.
