Aldi Stores Recall Frozen Berries due to Possible Hepatitis A Contamination
Aldi Stores are voluntarily recalling their Season’s Choice frozen raspberries because the products might be contaminated with Hepatitis A.
Wawona Frozen Foods, the manufacturer, is recalling their frozen berries sold at Aldi and Raley’s Family of Fine Stores.
The recall affects the following products:
- 12-ounce bags of Season’s Choice raspberries with 2021 best-by dates of June 10, Aug. 1 and Aug. 23
- 16-ounce bags of Season’s Choice Berry Medley containing raspberries with 2021 best-by dates of July 17, July 20 and July 22
- 12-ounce bags of Raley’s Fresh Frozen Red Raspberries with 2021 best-by dates of June 5 and Aug. 1.
Consumers can contact Aldi’s customer service center or return the berries to your nearby store for a refund.
So far there have been no reports of illness due to the consumption of these products.
Hepatitis A is a contagious virus that can cause liver disease. Symptoms can include fever, headache, fatigue, nausea and more.
Symptoms of an illness typically begin 15-50 days after eating or drinking a contaminated product.
