IKEA Recalls Baby Bibs Due to Choking Hazard
IKEA is recalling thousands of infant bibs due to a possible choking hazard.
The recalled bibs have a snap closure. Consumers have complained of the button snap detaching off the bib, posing a choking hazard for children. No injuries have been reported at this time.
According to the National Safety Council, choking is the leading cause of unintentional deaths in infants.
The recall affects MATVRÅ infant bibs sold as a pair in a pack. The bibs were sold in stores and online worldwide. Each pack of MATVRA bibs has a red and blue bib. They both have the store’s logo printed on a white tag on the back.
IKEA is urging consumers to stop using the recalled bib and return them to any IKEA store for a refund.
