General Mills Recalls Flour due to a possible E. Coli Contamination.
General Mills is voluntarily recalling their Gold Medal Unbleached Flour due to an E. coli risk. The recall was issued after the company’s flour tested positive for E. coli during a sampling of the product. The recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution.
This flour was sold nationwide to retailers including Walmart and Target.

Recalled Better if Used by Date: September 6, 2020
If you have any of the recalled flour product, throw it away and contact General Mills for a replacement coupon. The recall comes two months after federal health officials announced the end of an E. coli outbreak linked to other flour brands that made 21 people ill in nine states.
Most strains of E. coli are harmless. Others such as E. coli 026, which was found in the flour sampling, are potentially deadly bacterium that can make you sick. The elderly, children and those with weak immune systems can have serious and even fatal complications.
