Popular Bunk Beds Sold at Target, Wal-Mart, and More Being Recalled Due to a Fall Hazard.
A bunk bed sold online at Overstock.com, Pier1.com, Target.com, WalkerEdison.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com and more is being recalled due to a fall hazard.
The recall includes the Walker Edison’s Twin Cottage bunk bed. The wooden bunk beds were sold in blue, brown, red and white. The beds are a twin over twin combination, and all have a ladder down the side.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the bunk bed’s support boards can break posing a fall hazard.
The company is aware of two incidents where the bunk bed’s support boards broke. No injuries have been reported at this time.
The CPSC urges anyone who purchased the recalled bunk beds to stop using them and contact Walker Edison Furniture to arrange free replacement bunk beds and free installation by Walker Edison Furniture. Currently, the firm is contacting customers directly as well.
