Kid’s Contigo Water Bottle Recall due to Potential Choking Hazard.
Contigo has issued a recall on 5.7 million Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles due to a potential choking hazard.
The recall specifically involves the spout on the lid. The spout can detach causing a potential choking hazard.
No injuries have been reported so far; however, Contigo had received 149 reports of the spout detaching. Of those reports, 18 of the spouts were found in children’s mouths.
Consumers should immediately stop using the water bottle and contact Contigo for a free replacement lid.
The bottles were sold at retailers nationwide including Target, Walmart and Costco between April 2018 and June 2019.
