The auto manufacturer, Toyota, has issued a recall on certain 2018-2019 Tundra pickup trucks and Sequoia SUVs along with 2019 Avalon vehicles due to an airbag defect.
Toyota says, that because of the defective programming in the vehicle’s airbag control unit, a fault could be mistaken during the vehicle start up. This could disable one or more of the airbag sensors that detect crashes.
This could result in certain airbags not deploying in the event of a crash.
Toyota did not comment if there have been any reports of injuries due to the recall.
The manufacturer has not released when or how the defect will be fixed. To see if your vehicle is affected in the recall, visit Toyota’s website or contact your local dealer
