A Pittsburgh man has died in a tree trimming accident when the bucket truck he was using malfunctioned. The tree service employee was cutting trees 60 feet off the ground with a chainsaw when the arm of the bucket truck he was in malfunctioned and fell to the ground, throwing him from the bucket truck. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner said the man died due to blunt force trauma along with a sharp-force wound to the abdomen. The man was an employee of Emery Tree Service.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, also known as OSHA, will complete an investigation of the incident.
