A window washer has died after his bucket truck hit power lines Tuesday morning. The man was working at the Metropolitan Condominiums on North Neville Street when the accident occurred. The victim had backed the bucket into the power lines and was roughly 30-40 feet in the air. Duquesne Light was called to turn off the electricity so emergency responders could bring the man down. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
Recovering compensation after an accident
Because the man was at work when the accident happened, the victim’s family may file a workers’ compensation claim. When an individual is injured on the job, they may be entitled to payment of medical bills and wage loss.
