Terms and Conditions
The Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate college students enrolled or accepted into an accredited college, university, or graduate school in the U.S. For the 2025 scholarship award, applicants must be scheduled to enroll by the Spring 2025 term. The scholarship committee may ask the applicant to provide medical proof of diagnosis and updated GPA. Failure to submit proof or to comply with any of the other terms and conditions will result in disqualification.
Berger and Green will consider all complete applications we receive, but we are not responsible for any technical issues that occur during submission. After reviewing all applications and essays, our scholarship committee will select and announce a winner. The committee’s decision is final.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Berger and Green
- Past recipients of the Heart Disease Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Berger and Green if he/she were to be awarded the scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships or for multiple years in a row
Privacy Terms
We respect your privacy. The personal information you provide us with is exclusively for the election of the Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship. We will not share, sell, or distribute any personal information you provide with your scholarship application, including but not limited to your medical information.
Note however that we will announce the scholarship winner by name on our website and other public media platforms. We may also choose to publish essays, in whole or in part. When you submit your application and essay, you agree to these terms.
